Dr. POP Stars Program (POP = PLAY in Ocean Park)

Ocean Park Hong Kong is collaborating with Play Education institution Dr. PLAY for the first time to launch an educational project. We aim to incorporate conservation elements and play-based learning into this educational initiative. The goal is to provide local kindergartens and primary schools with educational materials that promote positive values and enhance students' understanding of Chinese art and culture.

Dr. Win Win, the founder and Executive Director of Dr. PLAY, has accumulated over twenty years of play education experience in Hong Kong. Known for continuously encouraging children to explore new things, Dr. PLAY will integrate the educational concept of promoting conservation of marine ecology and the environment from the Department of Exploration and Education into their own designed teaching materials. Through this two-year collaboration program, Dr. PLAY will provide teachers and students in kindergartens and primary schools with a set of teaching materials, allowing students to learn independently and unleash their unlimited potential.

The following curriculum goals will be achieved through play education:

*The word 'play' has three different Cantonese pronunciations.
The first is 'wan^2', which means 'to play' in terms of activities, like playing games or playing tricks.
The second is 'wun^6' [, which means 'to play' in terms of indulgence or manipulation, like playing with toys, playing with people's feelings, collecting antiques, being cynical, or having control.
The third Cantonese pronunciation is 'wan^4,' which means 'to play' in terms of joking or having fun, like making jokes or playing around.
We are not 'joking' around with everyone!
We are not joking around with everyone! The collaboration between Ocean Park and Dr. PLAY, called 'Dr. POP Stars Program', (POP = PLAY in Ocean Park), is a serious educational program that combines 'PLAY' and 'Sustainable Development Goals'."
